Being part of the Innovation ecosystem and detect innovative startups

ENGIE regularly launches calls for projects or calls for participation via its Open Innovation platform "ENGIE Innovation" to meet concrete business needs. A jury made up of ENGIE experts - from Business Units - and often from external partners * analyze the responses to select the winning startups. They will benefit from collaboration with the Group and highlighting their innovative solutions, through various events in which the Group participates, such as Viva Technology, CES, Ecosummit, etc. Since 2014, 93 calls for projects have been launched, and ENGIE now has 30 actual collaborations with startups (Ex. LivingMap, Stereograph, InUse, Wi6Labs ...) These collaborations can take different forms: Proof Of Concept, integration within the framework tendering, commercial development, etc. The "ENGIE Innovation" platform also enables entrepreneurs to offer their innovative solutions spontaneously to the Group's experts. More than 766 innovative solutions have been proposed to date. * These external partners can be institutional / territorial / industrial clients as well as accelerators, laboratories, clusters etc.

Through partnerships with key players in the innovation ecosystems: accelerators, incubators, Fab Labs, clusters etc ... and thanks to the participation in many events, ENGIE multiplies the opportunities to meet and  identify innovative startups, throughout the year.

For instance, ENGIE organizes every year the Innovation Week, a week teaming with innovative events that mobilizes all its BUs. More than 130 events are organized during this week around the world.

Within the Innovation team, one person is dedicated to meet tinnovative startups who wish to collaborate with the Group, analyze spontaneous deposits and animate the expert community at ENGIE all year round
