Hello Julia, Could you briefly present your company?
Greentown Labs is the largest cleantech incubator in the USA, operating a 40,000 sq. ft. facility that enables entrepreneurs to solve today’s biggest energy and environmental problems. We host events and programs for the cleantech community and tour more than 10,000 visitors from around the world each year. We are committed to meeting the world’s biggest efficiency, energy and environmental challenges by providing the resources and labs that start-ups need to succeed.
How would you define innovation? Three key words?
At Greentown Labs we see innovation happening every day in our lab, in the interaction between large, established corporations and new, small startups. The corporations provide the expert thought-leadership and pioneering experience within a certain sector, and the startups can help disrupt the status quo while learning from the larger organizations.
We see innovation as entrepreneurship, technology development and inventing new solutions.
What will you be presenting at CES?
At CES we’ll present our “About Us” video, which showcases our 40,000 sq. ft. facility, features interviews with members of our community, and highlights the resources provided to startups when they join Greentown Labs.
We’ll also have materials available for visitors to take away and learn more.
How do you hope to benefit from your presence at CES with ENGIE?
We hope to meet members of the ENGIE team, publicize our partnership with ENGIE and their support of a Boston-based innovative cleantech community, connect with other thought leaders who attend CES, and gain exposure for our member company, Sense: that will be the surprise of the day!
What question would you like to be asked?
At CES, we'd love to discuss Greentown Labs' partnership with ENGIE, which we deeply value, and partnerships with other major innovators around the world. We believe our work with these large organizations plays an important role in helping our member companies grow and connect with the industry leaders.
