WSU building ‘smart city’ lab to test smart grid technologies

Washington State University has received a $500,000 grant to develop what they expect will be the “most comprehensive ‘smart city’ laboratory in the U.S.” to test smart grid technologies. The future city will include simulated wind turbines, solar panels, fuel cells, substations and smart meters.
