An energy-efficient approach to address urban heat island effectA flexible, modular and patented battery solution for energy systems
District Cooling Systems are positioned as an effective technology to mitigate the heat island effect exacerbated by conventional, stand-alone cooling systems.Since 1991, Engie have developed and operated Paris one of the largest district cooling system in the world, CLIMESPACE in Paris. Spread across 10 production sites that are 100% powered by renewable electricity, the system generates chilled water delivered to more than 600 customers - hotels, offices, retailers - through a 73 km underground closed network.
Imagine a festival that wants to use green energy for its lighting, music, and catering, but the grid connection is insufficient. Customers can rent DERMS Mobile containerised storage to avoid noise pollution and greenhouse gas emissions from diesel-fuelled motors.A combination of DERMS Mobile storage and renewable fuels, like biodiesel or hydrogen can also be designed in case a longer duration energy supply is needed.
