Pumped Storage Hydro is integrated into wind turbines in order to store excess electricity in turbine towers.
The GE and Max Bögl wind-hydro hybrid project for the world's tallest wind turbine in Gaildorf (DE) hasn't been developed. However, recent publications by GE and Holcim on the development of a 178m high wind turbine support using concrete 3D printers could point to a simple delay in the project as opposed to its standby.
