The must-attend event for the hydrogen sector in France and Europe. Organized in collaboration with France Hydrogène and supported by Ademe, the hydrogen for energy, industry and mobility event will present the latest news and innovations in the sector as well as the concrete solutions developed today in France and Europe.

On the occasion of this European congress, ENGIE reaffirms its ambition to be a leader in the energy transition, particularly in the hydrogen sector. The Group will have a stand and will participate in presentations on the H2 HUB of the event.

  • Masshylia : The largest renewable hydrogen production site in France for bio-fuel and mobility.
    ENGIE and TOTAL Energy  will develop, design, build and operate one of the largest renewable hydrogen production sites in France at the “La Mède” biorefinery near Marseille by 2024. Known as Masshylia, the project aims to produce up to 15 tons of green hydrogen a day on average to supply TotalEnergies’ biofuel production processes at La Mède, as well as other industrial uses and mobility. Part of the electricity needed to produce hydrogen will be generated by local photovoltaic power plants.

  • THyNetherlands : green H2 enabling a transition from a fossil-based site to a renewable.
    One of the first green hydrogen plants of this scale to be developed in Europe. Located at Eemshaven in the Dutch province of Groningen, the site of THyNederlands will derive electricity for hydrogen production from nearby renewable power sources such as offshore wind.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          

The energy produced is earmarked in part for the transport sector, namely to replace diesel with hydrogen fuel cells in the northern Netherlands’ passenger rail network.  Find out more
