TBB 2020 in Berlin - Agenda
Open innovation as a goal. As every year, the event will combine inspiring lectures on the future of the energy sector with startup stands to foster connections with corporates in the sector. "Accessing the market is always difficult for a startup," says Elena Bou. The Business Booster was initially conceived with the idea of offering the opportunity for innovative companies to start "conversations" with potential customers or partners, and then bring and accelerate new innovations to the market".
Last year, 2500 business meetings were held over the two days of The Business Booster. "The startup selection is very qualified," praises Jean-Michel Reynaud, Director of Startup Relations at ENGIE. Some projects are riskier than others, but the quality is always there."
This session will kick off with our Global Call for sustainable energy finalists, who will pitch for a grand prize of €100,000.
- Michael Webber (Chief Science and Technology Officer at ENGIE) will be the keynote speaker at the event and will be talking about innovation and collaboration.
How can industry become more sustainable and energy efficient? In this pitching session you will find out about the latest innovations in this area. You can then dive in deeper by requesting a meeting with all the technologies that spark your interest.
Session introduced by:
- Ludovic Ferrand, Future Industry Lab Manager, ENGIE
- Pedro Riera Sardá, Business Creation Officer, EIT InnoEnergy
Start-ups and innovations:
BBKW, Heat Power, Heliac, Koena Tec, Energy Square, Cascade Drives, Maqab, Solar Dew, Stockholm Water Technology, Polytopoly, Fine cell, Innovironmental, Enappgy, Energiency, Infinite Foundry, Percyroc, Nordluft, Smart Monkey, Ecoapp, Flexidao, Ipoint
The Business Booster is therefore the perfect opportunity for energy companies to keep an eye on the latest innovations in the sector... and to work very closely with the startups that own the technologies that may be of interest to them. "The innovation departments of companies need to bring new solutions to market very quickly and apply new business models," describes EIT's Innovation Director InnoEnergy. To accelerate this process, startups are valuable allies. The Business Booster offers a common ground to launch a partnership and start working together. It's a win-win situation."
It's all the easier for participants to find the right fit when all the players in the sector are present: start-ups, of course, but also thematic investment funds and other energy heavyweights. "For the innovation departments, it's a unique opportunity to do sourcing or to meet specialised funds because the whole ecosystem is there". Jean-Michel Reynaud testifies. Who wouldn't miss the 2020 edition, which will take place on November 4 and 5 in Berlin.
