For the first time in 30 years, the concept of Carbon Capture and Utilisation (CCU) is discussed in the report as a solution to decrease net CO2 emissions, as well as as a potential technology to move away from fossil carbon by using CO2 as an alternative feedstock for the production of renewable chemicals and fuels.

The Scientific Advisory Committee of CO2 Value Europe has participated in the two-round expert review of this report “Mitigation of Climate Change
