ENGIE Services Netherlands is a partner of the Rockstart Smart Energy Program. This program is focused on accelerating the development of startups active at the crossroad of the Internet and energy. The 10 participating startups, announced in February, will spend 180 days in an intensive startup accelerator program located in Amsterdam (The Netherlands). The aim of the 180 days program is to help startups to fine-tune their businesses and prepare them for scaling.

Rockstart helps startups to be more successful in their first 1,000 days through funding and mentorship, giving access to community, office spaces, and organizing relevant startup events. Rockstart includes 3 accelerator programs on digital health, web & mobile and smart energy, the latter ENGIE Services Netherlands is partnering with.

On March 31st, Rockstart organized for the first time the Rockstart Smart Energy Summit. The goal of this Summit was to connect the 2016 class of the Rockstart Smart Energy Accelerator to the energy and IoT ecosystem and to pitch their innovative projects to the Rockstart community.

During the Summit, keynote speakers talked about smart energy and startups. Workshops were organized on several topics such as how to get insights into the startup mindset, presenting methodologies such as Lean Startup or how to overcome the biggest challenges when working with startups in big organizations.
Speed dating sessions presented the opportunity for startups to discuss potential business match with Rockstart partners. Representative of ENGIE Services Netherlands met six startups , with some of which future win-win cooperation might be foreseen.

ENGIE Services Netherlands partners with the Smart Energy Accelerator program, where new technology on IoT and Energy meets entrepreneurship. In this way ENGIE Services Netherlands interacts with incubated startups and explores potential cooperation and partnership with them, such as helping them to find clients and develop their business model.
