We look forward to further exploitation of the REIDS-SPORE platform with likeminded organizations to develop a carbon neutral economy.
Developed by ENGIE Lab Singapore, the APAC’ research center of ENGIE, REIDS-SPORE platform is a multifluid microgrid demonstrator platform consists of the tallest wind turbine in the country, the first hydrogen full chain in the region, solar PV, advanced control systems and so on.
Located on Semakau Landfill in Singapore, the platform itself is meant to be a
living lab hosted by ENGIE to the region, to develop, test and promote
innovative technologies that can contribute to a carbon neutral economy. To do
this, the platform has four unique missions and offers:
|
Therefore, Xiaoyang PENG, the R&D Program Manager from ENGIE Lab Singapore, who oversees the REIDS-SPORE platform will share about the platform’s designed offers as well as lessons learnt during the Energy Storage Academy Masterclass in September 2021 in Singapore, the 15 September. |
Aside from sharing the opportunities
that are held on the platform, there have been many challenges and unique
experiences for deploying such a unique installation in the region. During the
session in the Energy Storage Academy Masterclass in Singapore, Xiaoyang is
going to share with the audiences a glimpse into the different types of
challenges that ENGIE has encountered throughout the journey, and how ENGIE,
authorities and partners work together to overcome all of them:
All these returns on experiences convert into
know-how within ENGIE demonstrating the Group’s ambition and dedication in the
energy transition exploration.
We look forward to further exploitation of the REIDS-SPORE platform with likeminded organizations to develop a carbon neutral economy.
