New Issues on healthcare

On Friday, October 30, 2015 at Le Village by CA on rue de La Boétie in Paris, emerging issues in healthcare were discussed.Speakers included Erik Orsenna, writer and member of the Académie Française, Guy Vallencien, a member of the National Academy of Medicine, Karim Amrouni, a doctor, Stéphanie Merger and Rianne Delnoy from Cofely.

According to Erik Orsenna : "The future of medecine means the future of our society".

Guy Vallancien added " The world of healthcare is changing rapidly. We are an old-school artisanal business that has to be adapted for the age of digital industry.

This will allow us to bring healthcare to the most isolated farms and villages in France".

And Erik orsenna conluded the debate by saying : "The society is faced with two choices: either make the most of technology, which will let doctors do their jobs like never before, or else fall into a kind of dehumanization and a turn towards "everyone for themselves" with the only option being private insurance contracts, 18 different levels of service, and no solidarity.

So once more, thanks to technology, we have the choice."
