Vivatech Renewable Energy Challenge

Whether it has to do with wind, solar, biomass, or others, the future of energy is in renewables. And consumers are increasingly becoming independent energy producers, whether for personal use or to sell back to local or national networks.

ENGIE, as a major player in renewable energy production, is looking for innovative solutions and business models related to producing, managing and distributing such energies. The winners of this call for projects will be invited to exhibit with ENGIE during the 3rd  edition of Viva Technology, which will take place from May 24th to 26th, 2018.

We are seeking both independent solutions and bricks that can be integrated into existing projects. They can be for individuals (B2C), businesses (B2B) or communities (B2T). Please make sure to clarify your target segment in your response.

This call focuses on three main subject areas: 

• digital technologies for renewable energy
• energy storage
• renewable energy management and distribution and grids

Deadline for submissions: February 15th , 2018

Rewards and benefits if your project is selected:

• Space in ENGIE’s area at Viva Technology from May 24th-26th 2018. (60,000 international visitors attended in 2017)
• Visibility for your project among ENGIE experts, business units and managers
• Potential to collaborate on operational projects if your proposal appeals to a business unit
• Potential to be put in touch with the ENGIE New Ventures investment fund

 

Selection criteria:

• innovative nature of the proposed solution
• feasibility
• time to market
• environmental bonus
• solution for the B2C market
• ability to show your project as a model or in another form at Viva Technology
• not having been invited to the ENGIE stand at Viva Technology in 2017.

Provisional timetable

• February 15th, 2018: deadline for submitting application
• March 1st, 2018: choice of winners
• May 24th-26th, 2018: present at VivaTechnology at the ENGIE Lab booth
