ENGIE (formerly GDF SUEZ) will host, during its “Innovation Week” an Innovation Day on June 17th in Marseille. The event will consist of a major marketplace entirely focused on innovation.
Who is it for?
This call for participation is for small businesses, startups, laboratories, universities, specialized schools (design, engineering, management, etc.) and students, but also for individual innovators living in the Provence-Alpes-Cô
- The opportunity for you to promote your project, prototype or service for local ENGIE decision makers, professionals, journalists and the general public.
- ENGIE and its partners aim to help innovative project owners meet economic and institutional decision makers in order to promote their development.
- It is free to participate. The ENGIE Group will provide each project presenter with a space to present, Internet access and electricity.

What is it about?
The Group wants to target 3 main themes:
- Managing energy demand, energy aggregation, decentralized energy and storage
- Sustainable cities, territories, and mobility
- Domestic comfort and energy efficiency
Regardless of the type of project you intend to present, the subjects and technologies that you are developing in these areas are welcome at this event, which is specifically focused on innovation in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur.
What are the key dates ?
The call for participation ends on June 3rd 2015 at noon.
The selection of projects will be announced by June 5th at the lastest.
The event will take place on Wednesday, June 17th 2015 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at MuCEM, Marseille
Selection Criteria
Only proposals that are properly completed will be analyzed.
Your projects can take any form, provided that they are :
- Exposable (Web applications, services , objects , prototypes, interactive installations, ... . )
- In line with the 3 main themes
- Innovative (new technologies / process / approaches).

This event – which will be dedicated to innovative projects and startups – will take place in a unique space: the Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilizations (MuCEM) in Marseille.
To participate, ENGIE is opening a call for participation for project owners involved in innovative territorial projects to come present their innovations over the course of an afternoon at the MuCEM.
The marketplace will be opened by Erik ORSENNA, an economist, writer and member of ENGIE’s Urban Strategy and Innovation Council, and by Stéphane QUERE, ENGIE’s Innovation Director, in addition to a number of other local decision makers.
The afternoon will include a conference on the subject of COP21, pitches from a number of startups selected by visitors to the marketplace, the launch of a call for projects in conjunction with local partners and a closing cocktail.
