The new gold hunters

Turning one person’s waste into another’s resources: this is the concept behind iNex Circular and the origins of the name “iNexploité” (“uNexploited”, in English). By inventing digital solutions that support the circular economy, this start-up is taking practical actions with tangible benefits for the environment. Louison Le Nahédic, Sales & Customer Experience Manager at iNex Circular, tells us about the iNex Sourcing tool he will present on the ENGIE stand during the upcoming Viva Technology trade fair from 14 -17 June 2023.

At iNex, we help our customers to develop uNexploited resources, either by transforming waste into energy (gas or electricity), or by installing land-based solar or wind projects.

So VivaTech will be a great opportunity to show as many people as possible how we help industrial companies in various sectors to gather all the strategic, environmental, cadastral and energy data they need.

Tell us about your iNex Sourcing application.

iNex Sourcing is a flagship decision-making tool for energy producers (biogas, wind and solar), recyclers, construction players and industrial companies seeking to launch circular economy initiatives. The tool supports anaerobic digestion projects by applying AI to eight years’ of consulting studies and more than 5,000 open data sources. In just three clicks, our customers can identify the waste and secondary material deposits needed to supply their biogas production.
iNex Sourcing also  converts and analyses the space available for photovoltaic power facilities. This could be land, roofs or car parks. It gives in-depth analyses of cadastral, environmental and energy data for each land parcel, automates prospecting by listing all strategic contacts, and centralises these key data to support investment decisions. Finally, iNex Sourcing can interact seamlessly with the company's CRM or other internal tools so that the data circulates without the need for manual intervention. The tool’s relevance and reliability is demonstrated by our involvement in several projects with stakeholders such as Engie, Veolia, GRDF, TotalEnergies, Colas, Evergaz, Solarhona, etc.

How is your solution innovative?

We make automated predictions about the quantity, quality and type of biowaste (plastic resins, wood, cardboard, metals, etc.) produced by companies throughout Europe. We use web scraping (extraction of data from websites) and AI to identify prospects for our customers, and most importantly to estimate the usable deposits on their site.

What are you going to present at VivaTech?

We will present iNex Sourcing, our original tool, with European use cases involving Engie. We now support our customers from input sourcing through to managing digestate or BioCo2 waste disposal outlets. So there are a lot of new things.
This year, at the same time, we also launched our new iNex Data offering. So VivaTech will be a great opportunity to show as many people as possible how we help industrial companies in various sectors to gather all the strategic, environmental, cadastral and energy data they need. Our digital tools are very easy to use. We will be demonstrating iNex Sourcing and our Data offering throughout our three days on the stand.

What do you hope to achieve from your participation?

We are delighted to be able to meet our contacts at Engie in person, familiarise them with our tool, and share our success stories with the Group. We also intend to prospect geothermal energy, wind power and ESG/SRI (1) data stakeholders.

What would you invent if you had one magic power?

At iNex, we help our customers to develop “ iNexploitées” (“uNexploited”) resources, either by transforming waste into energy (gas or electricity), or by installing land-based solar or wind projects. One of the sticking points for renewable energy is the variability of production. So if I could, I would invent a long-term energy storage system to linearise production and make the facilities more profitable.

(1) ESG refers to Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance criteria that are used to analyse and assess the way that sustainable development and long-term issues are factored into corporate strategy. The SRI label aims to enable both small-scale and professional investors to identify investment funds that implement a robust socially responsible investment (SRI) methodology leading to measurable, tangible results.
