Self-healing materials cover a wide range of materials (polymers, composites, concretes…) and healing mechanisms. A series of products are already commercially available on the market but feedback from the field is still required (bio-concretes, polymers with intrinsic healing) whilst self-healing composites are still in the research phase and require upscaling efforts at the level of the production process.
